Policies and Procedures
At IB Hochschule, we strive to maintain transparent and student-friendly policies to ensure a smooth academic
journey. Below, you’ll find detailed information regarding our Refund and Deferral policies. We recommend all
students familiarize themselves with these guidelines to avoid any inconvenience.
Refund Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we aim to support students within the
framework of our institutional policies. Our refund policy is outlined as follows:
- 14-Day Withdrawal Window: Students have the right to withdraw from their signed study
contract within 14 days after the university receives the signed contract. In such cases, if the
registration fee has already been paid, it will be fully refunded. This is in accordance with our General
Terms and Conditions (GTC).
- Post 14-Day Period After the 14-day withdrawal period has passed, the registration fee
becomes non-refundable.
- Cancellation During the Semester Students may cancel their enrollment at the end of each
semester, provided they give written notice at least six weeks before the semester ends. This written notice
must be signed and submitted on paper. Please note: Tuition fees remain due for the full semester, even if
cancellation is processed.
- Registration Fee and DeferralStudents who choose to defer their studies are not required to
pay the registration fee again for the deferred intake.
- Visa Refusal Cases In the event of a visa refusal, students must notify the university
within 7 business days by submitting valid proof (e.g., a visa denial letter from Immigration) through the
CRM system. The admission fee will be refunded under these conditions.
- Enrollment Withdrawal After Visa Refusal Additionally, students must submit an enrollment
withdrawal request through the CMS portal (International Recruiting Team).A €250 administrative fee will be
deducted from the refunded amount.
- Payment Deadline Students are required to pay the semester or annual tuition fee within 15
days of signing the student contract.
Deferral Policy
IB Hochschule allows flexibility for students needing to postpone their admission. Our deferral
policy is outlined below:
- Eligibility for Deferral Students may defer their admission to a future intake, subject to
approval from the university.
- Communication and Documentation To initiate a deferral, students must contact the
admissions team and provide the necessary documentation or valid reasons for the request.
- Recommended Submission Timeline It is highly recommended that deferral requests be
submitted within 14 days of the class start date to ensure smooth processing.
- Late Requests Requests submitted after the assigned deadlines will be considered on a
case-by-case basis.
Subsequent Deferrals Deferral to the immediate next intake is allowed. However, any additional or second deferral
will require the payment of a new registration fee.
